Literary Mama has included my poems “Twice Buried” and “a state incompatible with life” in its October 2015 issue, live today, featuring essays, stories, and poems relating to desiring motherhood. Both my poems deal with pregnancy loss: the first, my mother’s; the second, my own, a miscarriage of one twin while continuing to carry the other. Thank you to my friend and poetry mentor, Cheryl Wilder, for helping me hammer, chip, and shape. And to Literary Mama for taking a chance on me: these are my first published poems.
