Brian Kornell at PANK Magazine interviewed me about my list/outline piece, “Listing to Love,” which appeared in PANK’s online July 2013 issue. Much like “My Writing Process,” the blog tour this past spring, Brian’s interview allowed me to describe how I create and then craft a piece of prose. Though I have my students reflect on their writing with peers and with me, I don’t do it so much anymore about my own work, not the way I was asked to while in graduate school. It’s easy to be too caught up in current drafts to visit with pieces that are happily living in literary homes. I didn’t realize how much I missed the reflection. Thank you, Brian, for reaching out!
